La Gang à Rambrou supports the social participation, recognition and emancipation of differently-abled people diagnosed with intellectual disabilities or autism, from an inclusive perspective.
We offer our members to :
-
develop their social skills to assert and gain recognition for their rights, individually and collectively
-
develop their creativity and artistic skills, so that they become active and recognized members of a common, shared culture.
We have chosen the artistic medium of performing arts, music and visual arts to achieve these objectives.
Through public presentations and our involvement in Montreal's cultural scene, we are also committed to educating the public and breaking down prejudices about people with disabilities. By involving people with disabilities in research, in outreach and in training in schools and universities, we aim to promote their direct expression and their recognition by audiences in these environments.
We also support caregivers by offering a respite program.
